  • Are there are other drugs similar to Botox?
    Yes, Dr. Ashwani Singh uses other neuromodulators that work similarly to Botox such as Dysport, Nuceiva and Xeomin.
  • Can I have a Botox treatment done the same day as my fillers?
    Botox can be injected the same day as your fillers without any concerns. Usually the Botox is injected first and then the fillers are done immediately after and frequently, this provides a better result as each procedure positively effects the other.
  • Can Botox be used to treat my chronic migraines?
    There are many prescription medications that can be used to treat or help to prevent chronic migraines.

    These include Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Topamax, Aimovig, Ajovy, Emgality, Vyepti, Propranolol, Metoprolol, Nadolol, Atenolol, Gabapentin, Candesartan, Amitryptiline, Venlafaxine. Botox was approved by Health Canada in 2011 to treat chronic migraines.
  • Do I need to take time off work after a Botox treatment?
    No, you can return to work immediately after your Botox treatment with minimal side-effects.

  • What should I expect for my first Botox appointment?
    At CosMedics, you will be greeted by one of our MOA’s who will assist you with registration and take some before pictures for your chart. Then, one of the RN’s will go over your medical history and take some vitals and then you will be seen by Dr. Singh.

    Yes, you can exercise after your Botox appointment however we recommend limiting to mild to moderate exercise level.
  • How much time will my Botox appointment take?
    At CosMedics, on average your appointment will take no more than 30 minutes.
  • What are some of the other conditions that Botox is approved for?
    Botox can be used to treat many medical conditions including hyperhidrosis, overactive bladder, blepharospasm, TMJD, cervical dystonia, and excessive sweating.
  • Can I have my Botox done the same day as my facial at your spa?
    Yes, you would have your facial done at the spa first then you can walk over to the clinic side and have your Botox right after.
